These are sturdy and extremely sharp with mirrored large finger holes which means they work equally well for left- and right-handed users. Pointed blades make them so useful for tugging out a recalcitrant thread or snipping close to an edge.

Pack: one pair of scissors with a silver finish

I don’t give my knitting nearly enough attention but it sure does look pretty with my project bag and basket this evening🤗

Home from this year’s Border Tart retreat - such a happy gathering of stitchers who enjoyed visits from @helleborehandmade and @carlenrigfarm. Louise’s barkcloth and patchwork bags were a big hit and everyone produced excellent work on Pat’s sashiko class.
The sun shone throughout!
Thanks to you all for your good spirits, stories and enthusiasm😘

We had @helleborehandmade round for tea and cake yesterday afternoon! Louise brought a glorious selection of her hand made bags in vintage barkcloth cottons. From small purses and needle cases to lush big rice bag style - resistance was futile!
Thanks, Louise, for talking with us about your journey and bringing some lush art pieces too.
🤗
You’ll find @helleborehandmade at @tangledgalashiels before long!

We’re looking after ourselves on this retreat…
I’m looking forward to welcoming participants arriving for our gentle stitching retreat in a spacious rural farmhouse. The shop is coming with me!

Today’s life lesson:
Stop rushing
Slow down, breathe deeply, use all your senses, seek out the small, the quiet, the overlooked, revel in the simple things, be grateful for small mercies.

Good plan, but I need to keep practising…

I’ve dyed these vintage wool blanket pieces and they await your tender ministrations in the form of hand stitching or felting.
It is the softest warmest fabric to stitch into and your needle will love it.🧵🪡

Found this wee gem in my photos, from an early Wednesday Windowsill.
