Embellish this block printed peacock with your hand stitching and create a perfect padded pouch for prize possessions!

I’ve printed the peacock in white on dark blue linen and enclosed threads to make a richly shaded bird or a gentle pale version if you prefer. There are no rules so mix and match shades to your heart’s content.

The kit contains:

block print in white on dark blue linen

a similar sized piece of bamboo/cotton wadding and of a batik-inspired print on cotton in blues

ten x half metre of stranded embroidery cotton (use just one or two strands of the six stranded thread in the needle)

a needle, a little bag of sequins and beads, and a button to fasten the pouch

guidance to help you make up the pouch, and a simple stitches guide

Finished size of pouch is approx 12cm x 12cm

Sunshine on a rainy day - a little Wednesday windowsill to brighten up this very March weather

There’s a whole long bare-twig hawthorn hedge near me with this one enthusiastic early bloomer. Either very brave or rather foolhardy…😳

It’s a grey morning here but the sun shone yesterday so here’s a little Wednesday windowsill to encourage a brighter day…

knitting at the ready.
I’m all set for The Great Pottery Throw Down🤗
🧶A heap of handknitted hats on their way to @operation_christmas_stocking next weekend.

I’m planning to visit @wool_gathering_at_winton on Saturday as there’s a great line-up of stall holders in a lovely venue and I can deliver the hats to the OCS collection point.

These simple knits have suited my limited powers of concentration this winter. They’ve helped me use up leftover yarns to make genuinely useful items which will ultimately be distributed to those in real need of warmth and care.

Win Win Win 🤗
